DNA extraction Help Please??!!?

i need to know WHY the wheat germ is used for DNA extraction. All i know is that the DNA is concentrated in the wheat germ but i want an explanation for that. Can other parts of a grain (like the husk or barn) be useful for dna extraction? PLEASE explain in detail why and any useful websites will help thnx
