You have a small spherical hologram projector that...?

Ignoring the fact that holograms are not really projections like we see in the movies...I wonder what would happen if you had your device look at the hologram it was generating? That's the first thing I would use it for. I'd imagine you'd get a 3D tunnel effect much like pointing a video camera at a TV only much more mind boggling. Either that, or the universe would suddenly implode.
